How Affiliate Links Work

Affiliate links appear throughout this site, including links under the Amazon Associates Program. When a reader buys through one, the retailer may pay Towelsmith a commission. It does not raise the price you pay by a penny. On towelsmith.com that means links to the products we write about rather than to unrelated categories.

Towelsmith is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

Keeping Recommendations Honest

Being paid a commission does not change what gets said. Coverage is not for sale, recommendation order is not set by commission rate, and products we consider poor are described as poor whether or not the link pays. When we have not used something ourselves, we tell you.

The FTC requires material connections between a publisher and a seller to be disclosed — 16 CFR Part 255 — and this page is how we meet that requirement.
